Philosophy of Care

At Villa Maria it is our purpose to promote the physical, mental and emotional well-being of each individual in our care.  We believe that freedom of choice, privacy and respect are basic human rights which age, infirmity and disability do not devalue.

We offer quality care on a personal basis.   Relatives and friends are encouraged to participate, with the patient, in care planning and daily life at the Villa as well as special occasions.  After all, however much nursing care our patients may need, they are people first with a past, a present and a future.  It is our aim to make that future worth having.

Villa Maria is situated near the heart of Croydon with easy access by bus or train and ahs ample parking facilities.

The Sitting, Television and Dining Rooms plus the spacious conservatory all open on to our beautifully maintained south facing gardens.

Single and companion bedrooms are all individually furnished and decorated, each having telephone and TV points in addition to standard requirements.  En Suite facilities are available.

Our experienced staff provide 24 hour care for the elderly infirm for both long and short term.  We also offer day care facilities.

By electing to accept only 26 residents we are able to maintain standards of excellence within a caring family atmosphere.
